- ➤ State officials awarded $6.7M to five local internet service providers in the Broadband Acceleration Grant program. The funding, matched by an equal amount of private & local investment, will expand high-speed internet to nearly 1,068 homes and businesses in eight rural counties. WIBW

- ➤ According to a CDC report issued Wednesday, the state sees high flu activity with most cases caused by influenza A(H3N2). Health officials stress that those 6 months and older who have not been vaccinated should get the flu shot as flu activity is expected to remain elevated. WIBW
