- ➤ The Compassion Impact Center will open on Apr. 7 at the former Children’s Palace of the Rescue Mission to offer housing support and health services for people experiencing homelessness—more than 60 agencies will work together to ensure no one is turned away. WIBW

- ➤ High School Musical, Jr. will run from March 6 to 22 at Helen Hocker Theater in Gage Park, with performances at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. The production offers younger actors a special take on the popular Disney musical. WIBW
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in Topeka increased on Monday, with unleaded ranging from $2.45 to $2.79 per gallon and diesel from $3.25 to $3.73 (GasBuddy data). The local rates were higher than last week and last month but still below last year’s averages. WIBW
