- ➤ Rev. Lowell Wendland celebrated his 100th birthday Monday, Mar. 16 at The Gardens at Aldersgate and he leads residents in Tuesday morning devotionals today. He credits his long life to taking care of his physical, mental and spiritual health. WIBW

- ➤ A Viking Celebration takes place at The Woodshed Event Center on Mar. 20 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight and Mar. 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.—tickets start at $15 with VIP and camping options available. WIBW

- ➤ K-State fans welcomed the appointment of new men’s basketball head coach Casey Alexander, introduced at a press conference on March 16 at the university; they hope his leadership will boost the team’s performance in upcoming Sunflower Showdown games after a challenging season. WIBW
