Two downtown Topeka churches will host their fourth annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. on the Statehouse grounds—children of all ages and abilities will join timed rounds that include a sensory-friendly hunt and receive gift bags with candy.
More than 50 community organizations will join hundreds of people on Saturday, April 12 at the Central Park Community Center in Topeka to raise awareness of addiction and overdose resources — offering support to those affected.

The City of Topeka approved a tax incentive plan for developer Jim Klausman that spreads out special assessment taxes for 16 properties and three vacant city lots in the Lauren’s Bay neighborhood, lowering his monthly payment from $300 to $185 over 20 years.
