  • On Saturday, April 11, Keep America Beautiful volunteers cleaned up trash near Tu Hu Hot at the Home Depot parking lot, filling a trailer with garbage bags. Organizer Ashley Beshears said the group aimed to beat last year’s record of five tons.  WIBW

  • Washburn University’s WiFi Film Festival is showcasing 45 movies at The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, with films from students and international filmmakers and an award show set to stream today via Facebook.  WIBW

  • Marshall County provided an update on the flooding at the Highway 9 and 15th Rd campground. All campers are safe + officials work to evacuate them while urging residents to avoid the area.  WIBW

  • Community advocates gathered at Evergy Plaza today to raise fentanyl awareness during Kansas' Fentanyl Awareness Month. The event highlighted new school rules for fentanyl education + naloxone access while urging residents to seek mental health support.  WIBW
