- ➤ A Shawnee County judge sentenced 42-year-old Andre C. J. Quinton Jr. to life in prison without parole—requiring him to serve at least 51 years plus an additional 12-year term on May 7—for the 2022 killing of 18-year-old Jahlel Brundidge at Traveler’s Inn in Topeka following his March 17 guilty verdict. - ➤ A Topeka man, Joshua Mikhael Mitchiner, was sentenced for his accused role in the October 10, 2023, homicide of Victor N.
