ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A popular eatery in North Topeka Arts District will reopen today after a car crashed into its front on Friday, causing extensive damage and minor injuries—crews replaced the storefront and the restaurant promised a special sandwich to mark the reopening.  WIBW

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Roofers Mart, a Missouri-based supplier of roofing and building products, will open its first Kansas branch in southeast Topeka this fall at 2220 Southeast Lakewood Boulevard. The branch will operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with holiday closures—ensuring local contractors have reliable access to home improvement supplies later this year—supporting the growing market in the area.  KSNT

CRIME NEWS

  • A 39-year-old man—identified as James Damond Edwards—was booked into Shawnee County Jail on Monday after police arrested him for robbery and theft near S.W. 6th and Western avenues in Topeka.  WIBW
