- ➤ American Post Legion 421 cleaned up Mount Auburn Cemetery Saturday morning with help from the Kansas Senators baseball team — a tradition to prepare the site for Memorial Day visitors to honor fallen military members. Volunteers trimmed grass and collected trash to beautify the historic cemetery. WIBW

- ➤ On Saturday, the Sons of Union Veterans held their annual ceremony at the Topeka Cemetery to honor Civil War and World War II veterans, featuring speakers and the playing of Taps. WIBW
