- ➤ A 20-year-old man died after his 2020 Ford Fusion crashed into a tree and caught fire early Sunday morning in Geary Co while speeding northbound on U.S. 77 — the Kansas Highway Patrol said the driver, Richard Roberts of Sebring, Florida, was wearing a seatbelt. WIBW

- ➤ The North American Peruvian Horse Association held its second annual Heartland Classic Peruvian Horse Show at Domer Arena this past weekend where riders from several states enjoyed a rare display of Peruvian horses. Organizers noted the event provided a unique chance to see these uncommon horses — a striking contrast to the local Quarter Horses. WIBW
