- ➤ Two local churches in Topeka switched locations on May 25—Topeka Baptist moved into a larger space while Light of the World Christian Center downsized for more affordable costs. Members called the exchange a blessing, and Topeka Baptist held its Vacation Bible School on June 1. WIBW
- ➤ A Topeka nonprofit dedicated to providing new shoes to children will hold its 7th annual Sneakers & Smiles Golf Classic at Cypress Ridge Golf Course—Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28. The two-day event features a four-person scramble, hole contests and an auction to raise funds and awareness for the community. WIBW
- ➤ The Epsilon Psi Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho held its annual Swim 1922 program on June 1—teaching children to float, hold their breath, and swim safely as part of their goal to build lasting water confidence. WIBW

- ➤ The American Red Cross is urging local residents to enroll in CPR and AED training during National CPR & AED Awareness Week from June 1-7—this training gives bystanders the skills to act quickly during cardiac arrests. Rapid CPR and AED use can nearly double a victim's chance of survival. WIBW
