- ➤ Chris Zubler pleaded with Topeka residents to review any surveillance footage from May 15, when his son Kaden was last seen walking north along Topeka Blvd at 8:10 p.m.—he is offering a $5,000 reward for tips that might help bring his son home safely. WIBW
- ➤ The Topeka Police Department is investigating a homicide near downtown Topeka after officers responded to gunshots on the 700 block of SW Western at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday—medical officials later pronounced one critically injured person dead, marking the city's 8th homicide of 2025. KSNT
- ➤ Dana Chandler was sentenced Tuesday to two consecutive life sentences without parole for her role in the 2002 double homicide of her ex-husband Michael Sisco and his fiancée Karen Harkness—both were shot in a Topeka home. WIBW
- ➤ The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office added 17-year-old Tevin A. Jenkins to the Crime Stoppers Most Wanted List for homicide and seeks tips on his whereabouts — he is 5'0, weighs 120 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. WIBW

- ➤ Governor Laura Kelly and Lieutenant Governor David Toland will break ground on June 18 at Emporia State University for a $43 million project to build a 670-mile fiber optic network—designed to improve internet speeds and support local growth in Kansas. KSNT
- ➤ The Kansas judicial branch has launched a new virtual self-help center today to assist people without attorneys in navigating district court processes — the website offers forms, information and tools that also help rural district courts. WIBW
- ➤ Governor Laura Kelly issued a verbal state of disaster emergency on June 3 after heavy rains threatened flooding and flash floods — state officials activated the Emergency Operations Center in Topeka to coordinate help in affected areas. WIBW
