- ➤ Two former fugitives—Desiree Kristel Shopteese of Topeka and Lloyd Allan Wabaunsee of Mayetta—were arrested again in Jackson County on Tuesday, June 24 after a deputy tried to stop a 2007 Cadillac, sparking a 10-minute chase that ended with Shopteese taken at the scene and Wabaunsee caught later following a multi-agency manhunt. - ➤ Authorities are searching for missing teen Azra Cobuluis, 16, from Topeka after she was last seen on June 18 between 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.—she is 5 ft 7 in tall, has red hair, blue eyes and black framed eyeglasses, and suffers from severe grand mal seizures and depression without her medication.
