- ➤ A teen from Topeka was hurt in a rollover crash on Thursday at 6:14 p.m.—his 2000 Ford Contour went off the Kansas Turnpike near the I-70 and I-470 split and he was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital with suspected minor injuries. WIBW

- ➤ On June 24th, the Topeka Fire Department reported that its K-9 Sky took a toy bone from Molly—the department's emotional support dog—during routine patrol, and officials plan to retrain him while he remains on duty. WIBW

- ➤ Groundhog Day: The Musical will be on stage at the Topeka Civic Theatre from July 5 to Aug. 9. Show times are 7 p.m. on Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays — the production follows a weatherman who learns to care for others as the tech crew resets the scenes with each repeat. - ➤ Spirit of Kansas will host a car show that opens to the public at 9 a.m. July 4th at Lake Shawnee’s Tinman Circle with registration starting at 8 a.m., awards for the top 30 vehicles, and a portion of entry fees donated to charity + the free Blues Festival runs from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. behind Reynolds Lodge featuring five bands, a national anthem by Spirit Dancer Dennis Rogers, vendors, a water ski show at 6:30 p.m., a golf tournament, and ends with the Capitol Federal Fireworks Show at 10 p.m. WIBW
