For the past year, Topeka Cat Café has helped over 440 cats find forever homes through adoption fees that support Team Kitten — a non-profit that rescues foster cats — while giving residents a calm place to relax.

Fiesta Topeka ended after five busy days with a Ballet Folklorico performance that showcased traditional Mexican dance and music — the group featured dancers from eight-year-olds to experienced alumni returning to celebrate their heritage.

The American Red Cross advises Topeka pet owners to protect their pets during extreme heat by checking for signs of heat stroke — such as heavy panting and red gums — and cooling them with water when necessary.

The group also warns against leaving pets in hot vehicles and recommends using online pet first aid tools to handle emergencies.

Heritage Hall reopened Saturday, July 19 after spending over $300,000 on renovations—adding a bridal and grooms suite, outdoor bar, and pergola with an integrated sound system.
