  • LifeHouse Child Advocacy Center held its 12th annual Dueling Pianos fundraiser at Townsite Center in downtown Topeka, where guests enjoyed live piano music, food, drinks and games—every dollar raised was directed to help vulnerable children in need.  WIBW
  • Women from across Topeka took part in KTWU’s 5th annual Women on Wheels event on Sept. 13 — showcasing their cars and raising funds to offset a 100% loss of federal funding in July — and their support will help keep the station's programs running.  WIBW

  • The Topeka Zoo hosted Brew at the Zoo for guests 21 and older, where visitors sampled over 100 beers, seltzers and ciders, enjoyed bites from local food trucks and live entertainment — an event that raised funds to help cover the high cost of feeding the animals.  WIBW

  • Emporia State volleyball won all four matches at the Washburn Invitational last weekend and raised its record to 5-2 while battling through a five-set win against MSU-Moorehead—now the team will travel to Edmond on September 18 for the MIAA-GAC Crossover.  KSNT
