  • About 2,000 people attended a historic beer festival in downtown Topeka where nearly 400 beer options were on tap from Midwestern and Sunflower vendors—an after-party with live music outside the Celtic Fox marked the event as a return of a much-loved local tradition.  WIBW

CULTURE NEWS

  • Bria Skonberg kicked off the 2025 Topeka Jazz Concert Series yesterday at the Topeka Performing Arts Center by performing two hours of jazz with her quintet (she said the music brings people together). The next show is scheduled for October 19.  WIBW

HEALTH NEWS

  • TK Fights Fentanyl hosted its third annual Fentanyl Awareness Rally at the State Capitol, inviting people who lost loved ones to share photos and stories—giving hope through recovery experiences. Amber Saale-Burger, who lost four family members, shared her experience to help others find a way forward.  WIBW
