- ➤ First Baptist Church hosted its 7th annual Trunk or Treat indoors after weather forced a move — over 500 kids enjoyed candy restocks and the local Hot Wheels club donated more than 500 cars. KSNT
- ➤ Seaman School District's Transportation Department hosted its annual Bus-n-Treat on Saturday night, transforming school buses into walk-through Halloween displays for kids and families to collect free treats. Bus drivers and mechanics dressed up with the children (adding extra excitement to the event). WIBW
- ➤ Helping Hands Humane Society hosted its largest fundraiser at Prairie Band Casino on Saturday night to raise funds for animal care—supporting vaccines, spays and other medical needs for over 6,500 animals—with the sold-out Bone Appétit Gala raising over $120,000 and nearly reaching a $130,000 goal. Donors helped show strong local support for the shelter's ongoing services. WIBW

- ➤ The Topeka Renaissance Festival is happening now at Woodshed Event Center and features jousting, pirates, Vikings, ax throwing and arrow games—opening at 10 a.m. today. This marks the festival's first year and its second event held this year. KSNT

- ➤ On Oct. 25, 180 students from 10 schools played basketball together at Washburn Rural Middle School where athletes with and without disabilities competed side by side — teams earned medals and awards for their performance. WIBW
