- ➤ Kickstart hosted its 10th annual chili cook-off on Nov 2 — featuring over six chili pots and a stainless steel 12-piece pot set, while a branding mix-up may have led to undeclared allergens. The bar will host a Thanksgiving potluck soon — inviting local residents to join the celebration. KSNT
- ➤ The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile visited Central Topeka on Sunday at the Central Park Community Center, where local families enjoyed the unique event. The City of Topeka planned the visit three weeks ago and said the vehicle will return next year as an annual event—bringing more joy to the community. WIBW

- ➤ Former Kansas Senate President Steve Morris died Saturday at his home in Hugoton (79) after having bypass surgeries and treatment for prostate cancer, his daughter said.
