- ➤ Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan will host a Family New Year’s Eve event on Dec. 31 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with pajamas encouraged and fun activities (balloon drop, pizza, snacks, glow maze and dance party); tickets cost $22 for members and $28 for non-members. WIBW

- ➤ The Topeka Zoo is accepting live Christmas trees until Jan. 8 at Gage Park on its south end to boost animal enrichment; trees must be free of ornaments (no tinsel, hooks, or plastic bags) before being turned into mulch. WIBW
