- ➤ Evergy employees helped Community Action on Wednesday morning by restocking shelves and packaging diapers for the nonprofit’s Diaper Depot program that provides 50 free diapers each month to eligible families. - ➤ Junior League Topeka is raising awareness of poverty this week by inviting local women leaders to wear the same dress every day as part of its Dress for Change campaign — donations will support community service projects like care package assemblies. This marks the campaign's seventh year in Topeka. WIBW
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Topeka Zoo will host Roar & Pour, a wine tasting event, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at its Gage Park location, with food, live music, and an art auction for adults. It will also launch the Boots and Bowties fundraiser with country music on June 5. WIBW
