- ➤ Let's Help and Silverbackks will team up to host the Feed Topeka Golf Tournament at Western Hills Golf Course on June 14, where teams of four will begin play at 9 a.m. plus entry is $85 per individual or $340 per team, and the event will help fight hunger in our community. WIBW
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Shawnee County judge sentenced 42-year-old Andre C. J. Quinton Jr. to life in prison without parole—requiring him to serve at least 51 years plus an additional 12-year term on May 7—for the 2022 killing of 18-year-old Jahlel Brundidge at Traveler’s Inn in Topeka following his March 17 guilty verdict. - ➤ A Topeka man, Joshua Mikhael Mitchiner, was sentenced for his accused role in the October 10, 2023, homicide of Victor N. Carlton and multiple child sex crimes—Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay said he will face a life sentence with parole eligibility after 620 months along with additional concurrent terms for aggravated robbery and sexual exploitation charges.
