- ➤ Fun Time Shows Carnival will come to West Ridge Mall from Wednesday through Sunday with rides like the Ferris Wheel, Cliffhanger, and Carousel and classic games after the mall stepped in following a permitting issue in another city. The carnival will open at 6 p.m. (Wed-Fri) and 1 p.m. (Sat-Sun). WIBW
- ➤ The Family Initiative, Inc. celebrated its 60th anniversary by honoring Nadine Terry, a nearly 40-year veteran committed to supporting local children and families. Terry will be awarded the Years of Service Award at the Sip—Safari event on June 28 at the Topeka Zoo's Kay McFarland Japanese Garden. WIBW
- ➤ Residents in NE Kansas are planning Fourth of July celebrations with fireworks shows, parades and concerts scheduled at venues in Topeka, Hiawatha, Tecumseh, Manhattan and Junction City. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Coffey County man, a 27-year-old Waverly resident, died in a rollover crash on Saturday, June 21 when his Chevrolet Silverado left South Jordan Road near the West 317th Street Junction at about 6:15 p.m.—the driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled into a ditch while two five-year-old passengers suffered minor injuries.
